Davis Tool & Die is a family generational business that services in the manufacturing industry.
I worked for Davis Tool & Die by developing and designing a new website and helped setup the business onboarding for employee emails. To meet and exceed the clients needs, I created a plan from the business’s requirements and designed responsive website to help the business grow, while expressing what the company is about.
To understand the needs, requirements, and goals of the website, I set up a questionnaire and meeting to collect the information needed to proceed. Davis Tool & Die’s vision was to have a simple website with four pages that included a homepage, services, about, and contact. The website needed to have good SEO to attract more visitors to the site. The hosting service needed to include a platform for an online store, a plan for Microsoft office suite, and emails for employees.
With certain requirements in mind, I recommended a business plan for the hosting service. The business plan for the hosting service provided the owner and employees with a package of Microsoft Office Suite as well employee professional emails. During onboarding with the business plan, I helped employees connect and get started. For the website, I recommended using WordPress to have more accessibility and enabling the option to sell products in the future. With Client satisfaction, it was time for the next steps that required design layouts, style and content.
While Davis Tool & Die did not want to redesign the logo, the colors wanted for the website did not match. To create visual style consistency with the brand logo and website, I changed the logo colors to match the color scheme which were light blue and navy.
From Requirements, Davis Tool & Die wanted four website pages which included the homepage, service page, about page and the contact page. For each page, I worked with the owners to produce word content that would help visitors understand who they are, what they do, and how to contact them. By setting up a layout, we were able to get great content and help them start to see the visual of the website.
Once the process was completed, I went through clients checks to make sure the vision of the website was up to standard. After satisfaction, the Davis Tool & Die Website went live.
